to support the special bus shuttle service to The Carter Presidential Center.  Red Line in service to Airport and Green Line in service to King Memorial all weekend.

MARTA will provide shuttle service from King Memorial Station to The Carter Presidential Center
for the public to pay their respects to President Jimmy Carter starting 6 p.m. Sat. Jan. 4 to 6 a.m. Tue. Jan. 7.
Rail service will operate continuously during this time. Local bus routes from King Memorial Station will be detoured starting Thu. Jan. 2, and no parking is available at the station.
Bags are not allowed on the bus shuttles or at The Carter Center.
Mobility customers may call the reservation office for transport to The Carter Center or travel to King Memorial Station and take a Mobility shuttle. | Details

Special Rail Schedules and Weekend Service

MARTA frequently operates on special rail schedules to adjust service due to track work, holidays, and/or special events. Please see the posted special schedules for the indicated dates below.

Starting Saturday, January 4 through 6 a.m. on Tuesday, January 7, all rail lines operate continuously to support the special bus shuttle service from King Memorial Station to the Carter Presidential Center. Red Line trains in service to Airport for the duration of the event; Green Line trains in service to King Memorial all weekend and Candler Park on Monday/Tuesday.

Rail schedule changes are frequently necessary to allow for track work. MARTA normally operates trains on two tracks, but we have to take one track out of service to perform maintenance. This requires all trains to share one track. We create special service schedules so that you can accurately plan your trips during this track work.
